Premier Dining Services.

Highlights

Helped the MG team build an to import, manage, and display catering menus in a format that works on multiple types of displays, as well as printable options.

Also helped build the mobile app that students and their parents can use to plan their meals and check nutritional and allergy information.

JuiceBox Hero

An Easier Way to Find Childcare.

Highlights

Acted as the CTO, advised the CEO on the technical roadmap and helped with the fund raising efforts.

Built the MVP using Ruby on Rails and Angular. Also built an import tool to import daycare providers from the list provided by the state authorities.

Faire

Ethical & Fair Trade Marketplace.

Highlights

Built a custom marketplace site using Ruby on Rails and leveraging the Solidus gem. Added custom functionality to onboard sellers to the marketplace through a custom workflow.

Merlinio

The faster way to car insurance.

Highlights

Built the prototype application used to verify the feasibility of the project from the technical perspective. Also, built the demo application used to pitch to investors.

Cool technical problems solved include OCRing and reading bar codes from driver licenses, parsing DL info, and auto-filling information for use in insurance quote requests.

Tenavox

An efficient platform for businesses where they could access digestible and accurate data on what other Tenants think and pay for leases in their market.

Highlights

Joined the Tenavox team to help them building their app and launch in the first market, Houston.

The Tenavox suite consists of three apps, an API app, a front end app, and an admin app. The API was built using the JSON API standard, and the front end apps acted as a client. Other technologies used included PostGIS, Leaflet JS, and Mapbox.

Play Flag Football

Application for managing flag football leagues across multiple cities.

Highlights

Upgraded the app from Ruby 1.9.3 to Ruby 2.3 and from Rails 3.0 to Rails 4.2, which was a big undertaking to make sure the big application still functioned as expected, and all gems were upgraded to compatible versions.

Currently helping maintain the app and add new features to the existing code base.

OpenSource Connections / Quepid

Search relevancy tool for developers & domain experts.

Highlights

Quepid was developed as an internal tool for OSC's search relevancy experts, helping them provide a better service for their clients. We helped OSC transform Quepid form an internal tool to en enterprise software. Part of the transformation included a transition from a Python app powered by Flask to a Ruby on Rails app.
